What is Tixel?

Tixel is an aesthetic tool from Novoxel® that uses proprietary thermo-mechanical technology (TMA) to heat and move your skin, improving tone and texture.

What can I expect during treatment with Tixel?

The Island Aesthetics & Dermatology team takes an individualized approach to care. They customize your Tixel treatment after your consultation and review the details so you know what to expect.

Your provider cleans your skin with an antiseptic agent and may apply a numbing lotion to reduce discomfort during your Tixel treatment. Your provider uses a skin marker to create a grid-like pattern they use as a guide for treatment.

Then, they place the handheld tool over your skin and start your session. Tixel treatment takes 30 to 60 minutes.

What happens after treatment with Tixel?

Your provider gives you specific instructions on how to care for your skin following your Tixel treatment. Your skin may feel tight and warm, and you may have some swelling. These side effects resolve within a few days.

You may want to take it easy immediately following your Tixel treatment, but you can apply makeup the next day to cover up any side effects.
